Hello Word Followers,
For the next 3 weeks, we are holding a contest to promote “TheWordIsTruth.com”. In 2nd Corinthians 5:20, it says ‘we are ambassadors for Christ’, which tasks us with the responsibility to share the gospel or good news of Jesus Christ; to be a witness. That is the main reason this website was started, to share the Word of God, rightly-divided with those who don’t have the ability to attend a Word church. Our goal has always been to make the Truth of God’s Word available to as many as possible. To ‘get the word out’ about this site, we need traffic, and that’s where you come in.
At the bottom of each post is ‘Leave a comment’ or ‘# comments’ and we would like for you to leave a ‘relevant’ comment after viewing a post or attending the service in person. You can even make a comment as a response to a previous comment and get an online conversation about The Word started. Comments help us gain ranking on internet search engines, which will help spread the Word, by making the site more visible.
We will hold 1 drawing a week for the next 3 weeks and anybody that makes a comment to any of the postings on the website (not the Facebook page), will receive an entry into the drawing for that week. The drawings will be held at the GTOC on Sunday May 20, May 27 & June 3, 2012 and the winner each week, will receive an Amazon $10 Gift Card. You need not be present to win; we will contact you by email.
- View a teaching and leave a relevant comment, with your name and/or a valid email address (which isn’t visible to others), so we may contact you in the event you are a winner.
- Comments made to the Facebook page, while welcomed, are not valid for entry.
- Deadline for entry is Sat. 6pm each week.
- Your information will not be used for any other purpose and will not be shared.
If you use Facebook, please visit our page, “The Word Is Truth”, and ‘like’ us, then you will be updated when any new postings are made to the website. And don’t forget to be an ambassador for Christ, by sharing the greatness of God’s Word and by telling your family & friends about TheWordisTruth.com.
Thanks for visiting and may God bless you.
*Note* – The only time you see ‘Leave Comment’ or ‘# Comment’ is if you are viewing posts from the Home page. If you already have an individual post displayed, then all you have to do is scroll down to the bottom of the post and the comment box is already open for you to use. Thanks for visiting and may God bless you!!
We always learn something new each week from our Pastor & or Bishop, the rightly divided word is the only way to hear & learn the word. I love my church, my family & friends at the GTOC. I feel with all of them & the Lord I have grown so much, I don’t know if this is the kind of comment you wanted but it comes from my heart.I need & want God in my life & couldn’t make it without him & all of the family & friends here. I love you all!!
We love you too, Karen. I am continually amazed at the wealth of knowledge we have available to us at the GTOC. God has blessed us with such dedicated, powerful teachers, who are able to make the Word living & real to us. Thanks for your comment.
This site is the best i have seen. Thank you Barb and Shannon for doing all that you all do for our church.
Thanks, Phyllis! It really is a blessing to be able to make the rightly-divided Word available to anyone with a computer and internet access. I think we sometimes take for granted how blessed we are to have a church to go to every Sunday where we can hear ‘The Truth’, not doctrine, tradition, and the commandments of man.
If it wasn’t for me knowing what the word rightly divided was I would still be lost.. This Church has literally been the best thing that’s happened to me and my family!! I love learning about the word & I get excited about going to church every week!!! I love all of you and thanks for the Pastors and Bishops who teach me the truth & help me every step on getting closer to the Lord!!
I feel the same way, Barbi. And like Pastor Matt always says . . . “Once you know the Truth, you can never be lied to” 🙂
The holiest moment of a church service is the moment when God’s people strengthened by the teaching of God’s word go out of the church door into the world to be ambassadors for Christ.
God’s Word is awesome, Thanks to all who have made the Rightly Divided word living and real to us, whether it is by teaching us or by making the websites available or by a hug or casual hello as we walk into our Church. Our Pastor, leaders and fellow Sisters and Brothers in Christ make the G.T.O.C. an awesome place to be. Thank God for all of you Love your and support mean the world to me. God Bless!
My fingers type faster than i think it i guess cuz my words are out of order sometimes LOL
What is the GTOC? Is the GTOC a building? Is it the place where believers gather to worship? Or is the GTOC the people—the believers who follow Christ? How we understand and perceive the GTOC Ministry is quite important in determining how we live out the Scriptures. The word “church” as rendered in the New Testament comes from the Greek term ekklesia which is formed from two Greek words meaning “an assembly” and “to call out” or “called out ones.” In summary, the New Testament church is a body of believers who have been called out from the world by God to live as his people under the authority of Jesus Christ, This group of believers or “the body of Christ” began in Acts 2 on the Day of Pentecost through the work of the Holy Spirit and will continue to be formed until the day of the gathering together of the church, To which thank God the GTOC is a part.
