On The Right Track

The Bible teaches so many wonderful life skills and once in a while we need to be reminded of the basic principles, because they are the foundation of our Christian walk. The apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthian church that it’s okay to do just about anything, but not everything will give us an advantage, or be profitable to us. So when we get off course, we can go back to the basic fundamentals we have learned and get ourselves back on track. There are so many distractions in life and it’s so easy to be tempted with things that will lead us away from God, so we have to give it all we’ve got in order to stay focused on God and keep ourselves on the right track.
Scripture: I Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient (a profit or an advantage): all things are lawful for me, but all things edify (build) not.
Prayer; Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for teaching me how important Your Word is in my life and that it can truly make a difference no matter how hopeless things might look. Father, I thank You for the realization that with You all things are possible and I have put my trust in You because I know that You are faithful to perform that which You have promised. Father, there isn’t anything that can compare to You, You are everything to me, I ask that You would forgive me for getting off track and I pray for the strength I need to turn my life back around in the right direction. Father God, now I know that not all things are good for me, that even though most things are okay to do, it doesn’t mean they will be beneficial to my life or to the lives of others. Father, I pray that You will lead me and guide me by Your Spirit in all truth, I thank You for loving me always and most of all for Your Word that has taught me the way I should go. Father, I give You all praise, honor and glory for who You are and I love You. In Jesus’ name I pray.

Amen
