Verses referenced in this teaching:

Hebrews 11:6-8  6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

2 Kings 5:9-11  9 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.  10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.  11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.

Deuteronomy 8:10-17   10 When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.  11 Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:  12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;  13 And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;  14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;  15 Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;  16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;  17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.

2 Kings 5:15-16  15 And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.  16 But he said, As the Lord liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.

James 4:6  6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

2 Kings 5:12  12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.

Psalms 119:98-100  98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.  99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.  100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.
