Verses referenced in this teaching:

Romans 1:16-17  16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

3 ‘Cans’ of Faith – 1. God ‘can’  2. Jesus ‘can’  3. We ‘can’

Jeremiah 32:17  Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

Job 42:2  I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

1 Samuel 14:6-14   6 And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the Lord will work for us: for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few.  7 And his armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart.  8 Then said Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto these men, and we will discover ourselves unto them.  9 If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them.  10 But if they say thus, Come up unto us; then we will go up: for the Lord hath delivered them into our hand: and this shall be a sign unto us.  11 And both of them discovered themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves.  12 And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armourbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will shew you a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armourbearer, Come up after me: for the Lord hath delivered them into the hand of Israel.  13 And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armourbearer after him: and they fell before Jonathan; and his armourbearer slew after him.  14 And that first slaughter, which Jonathan and his armourbearer made, was about twenty men, within as it were an half acre of land, which a yoke of oxen might plow.

John 16:23  And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

2 Peter 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Matthew 9:28-29   28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.  29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

2 Corinthians 9:8  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Thanks for visiting and may God bless you!

Thanks Pastor Matt for bringing to our attention about Faith, and the three ways in which we can, and should use our faith. It gives us a greater understanding concerning our faith and also when, and how to apply ourp faith in different situations. Your teaching was like a light that brightens our way concerning our faith. It also lightens up the circumstances so we can know which can of faith we should draw from. God bless

Just a few words concerning this site. We are so blessed to be able to log on and hear the word of God taught rightly divided. When we hear a man of God teaching the word of God, lead by the spirit, teaching the word rightly divided you can feel it becoming alive in those around you, as well as in yourself. You can feel and see the power of the Word as it penetrates the hearts and minds of everyone that is hearing the message. The word unfolds into the situation and circumstances that people are facing, giving them the hope and understanding of how that God is aware, and will work in our lives to bring us through it all, when we believe and step out on the faith that the Word gives us. God becomes the God of our needs whatever our need might be. God’s Word says to come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we might obtain mercy in our time of need. So let His Word become alive in your life as you stand firm in your faith and belief. God’s love will overshadow each of us along our path of life. God Bless.

Hey Pastor Matt, You were right, Popeye’s original nemesis was named Bluto 🙂 There was a short time where they used the name Brutus, though. http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1548/is-popeyes-nemesis-named-bluto-or-brutus
Thanks for all your great analogies, they really make the Word, living & real for me.
