Verses referenced in this teaching:

Mark 11:23-24  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Romans 8:34  Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Luke 5:1-5  And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,  2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.  3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.  4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.  5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless* at thy word I will let down the net.
(* nevertheless = in spite of the facts)
Luke 5:6  And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
Isaiah 1:19  If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Matthew 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Thanks for visiting and God bless you!

  3. Ray McFarland says:

Thinking about Matt’s teaching on prayer verses the promise. We need to realize that a promise from God is just that, a promise. All we have to do to receive the promise is to do as it instructs us to do in Isaiah. 1:19 if ye be willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land. We also learn in James 1:22 to be a doer of the word and not a hearer only. If we only hear we deceive our own self, and lose out on the promises of God. So thanks Matt for God’s instructions on how to receive his promises. God bless

  4. Bill McFarland says:

The Bible is the word of God and is powerful and life changing. 2nd Timothy 3:16 tells us that all Scriptures in the Bible are inspired by God. With this promise of God in hand we can then be assured that what we learn in the Bible comes from Him!
check this inspired scripture 2nd Peter 1-4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The promises of God are truly awesome .

  5. Joy Anderson says:

Without believing it is impossible to expect for God to answer our prayers or for us to receive God’s promises! Believing is the key to receiving. God Bless

  6. Ralph Anderson says:

    Best one yet

  7. Ray McFarland says:

I believe we all sort of lose sight sometimes of the power of prayer and believing. The world around us with the speed it seems to be turning dims our minds to the important things of God in our lives. We pray, but if not careful, we lose focus and the promise is pushed down the road just a little further away from us receiving it. Stand on the Word, pray, believe to receive, and look for it to come at any moment.
