National Day of Prayer

May 3, 2012

Today is the 61st annual Observation of “National Day of Prayer”.  This year’s theme is “One Nation Under God”

Psalm 33:12 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

National Day of Prayer calls on all people of different faiths in the United States to pray for the nation and its leaders. It is held on the first Thursday of May each year.

I would like to take this time and ask that you Pray for our Military. Our Military personnel take an oath that ends in “So Help Me God”, I ask God to Help this great Nation.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I ask that you watch over our Military and our Leaders and protect them as they perform their duties and give them wisdom to make the right choices and I also pray for our enemies’, open their minds and allow a seed to be planted that will flourish into a mind set of Peace.

In Jesus’ name I Pray.

Amen

One Response to National Day of Prayer

  1. Ray McFarland says:

National Day of Prayer is much needed when everyone prays and believes together for God to protect our country, and our troops that are now serving our country. I also believe that a prayer from each of us every day is also needed. We live in the greatest country in the world, so through prayer lets keep it the greatest. Amen.
