Hebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Jeremiah 33:3  Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

1 John 5:14-15  14And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  15And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Acts 12:5  Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

James 5:16  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent (energetic, passionate) prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Matthew 21:22  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Acts 12:12-16  12And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.  13And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.  14And when she knew Peter’s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.  15And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.  16But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.

1 Samuel 17:47  And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hands.

Really enjoyed this sermon. Very touching and sure makes me rethink how I do pray. Matt was so right about the power that God does have, as some of us has seen and will continue to witness. Also, his story about David and Goliath, how we usually don’t give God a chance to help us, we just plow thru this world thinking we can make it thru without him… so not true.. God is there for us. Thank you God!
